4-star recertification: DEHOGA Hamburg awards the Hotel Hafen Hamburg

The privately owned Hotel Hafen Hamburg was once again awarded four stars by DEHOGA Hamburg in February, particularly in recognition of its commitment to sustainability. Thanks to the recertification, the hotel will be allowed to retain this distinction for another three years. The result was received with great pleasure, and Hotel Hafen Hamburg can now set further goals for the future.

Hotel Hafen Hamburg stands for Hanseatic tradition and continuity, but has also continuously evolved in recent years. In 1987, the Tower was added, which today shapes Hamburg’s cityscape around the Landungsbrücken. In 1999, the property was expanded with a new building, increasing the number of rooms to 380. Space for development and personal growth is consistently available both to employees and to the hotel itself.
In light of the new certification, Hotel Hafen Hamburg has retained its four-star status and even achieved a higher score than in the previous classification in 2022. The questionnaire issued by DEHOGA Hamburg was fully completed by the hotel. Topics such as sustainability and the overall CO₂ footprint are now being addressed even more extensively. Here too, Hotel Hafen Hamburg performed better and was able to further improve its standards.
“Through our committed efforts and our existing GreenSign certification, we have achieved our goals and are looking forward to becoming even better in the coming years,” says Enrico Ungermann, Director of Hotel Hafen Hamburg.
