When the Hotel Hafen Hamburg was extended in 1983, the gastronomic area was also expanded. The restaurant Port was born, with its unmistakable view of the Hamburg harbour. A place with flair and true attractions that quickly won the hearts of its guests. On 400m², space was created in the restaurant for 220 guests, who were offered an unobstructed view of the Landungsbrücken and the Elbe and thus inevitably the desire for fresh fish and North German food.
After ten months of planning and a three-month renovation break, the new restaurant Port opened in 2020. A modern restaurant, which still has its charm and yet reminds us of the long history of the house with small details. Whether it’s binoculars as lamps, figureheads on the wall or ship models in glass showcases.
