Read moreOur passion? - Delighting guests, since 1981, because what could be better than having satisfied guests, a breathtaking view over the Elbe and good culinary delights? And that is exactly what has distinguished us over the years. Together with our team, whether kitchen or service staff, we make you smile every day.
For over 40 years, we have been combining Hanseatic seafaring history with North German cuisine. And what belongs to seafaring history and northern Germany? Exactly - a breath of fresh air. And that's what we provided in 2020 with our conversion project. Since then, the restaurant has shone in brighter colours with cosy, wooden seating. Whether it's figureheads, ship models or the old steering wheel at the entrance. Thanks to the collector's items of the hotel's founder Willi Bartels, the restaurant, which has been completely refurbished and equipped with a new interior, shines in a modern design without renouncing its Hanseatic charm. Here, the hotel's history is told in a new style. We recommend you to simply dive in and join us on a journey of discovery through the deep waters of Hamburg's history and allow yourself to be pampered.
So join us in celebrating the two-year anniversary of our new Port restaurant. The new Port is just the place to meet up with friends or family, feast your way through the new menu, enjoy delicious drinks and take in the unique view of the passing ships.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Port soon!
Your team from Hotel Hafen Hamburg
Read lessWhen the Hotel Hafen Hamburg was extended in 1983, the gastronomic area was also expanded. The restaurant Port was born, with its unmistakable view of the Hamburg harbour. A place with flair and true attractions that quickly won the hearts of its guests. On 400m², space was created in the restaurant for 220 guests, who were offered an unobstructed view of the Landungsbrücken and the Elbe and thus inevitably the desire for fresh fish and North German food.
After ten months of planning and a three-month renovation break, the new restaurant Port opened in 2020. A modern restaurant, which still has its charm and yet reminds us of the long history of the house with small details. Whether it’s binoculars as lamps, figureheads on the wall or ship models in glass showcases.
