Sunsets like in a book, a few good friends and the fruity notes mixed. A picture that couldn't be better or more exquisite.
The Cocktail Hawaii is made with passion fruit, peach, lemon and grenadine. The colours of the cocktail perfectly match the sunset in Hawaii but also ours here in Hamburg.
Nice to know: When I was a child I always wanted to be a vet, now I've been in the restaurant business for over 25 years and have been at the Tower Bar since 2001. The view of Hamburg harbour and the sunset make it so special to work here.
What I love about my job: the positive-minded guests.
Gin has come back into fashion in recent years - and rightly so! Pimped with a little blackberry, the Cocktail Bramble is super refreshing and perfect for summer evenings. It consists of Brockmans Gin, Merlet Créme de Mûre (blackberry liqueur), lemon and sugar. "Simply put, this is where gin meets powerful blackberry - simply berry strong".
Fun fact about me: Don't talk too long, put your head back and drink.
I've been in the restaurant business for 40 years and as a service personnel enjoy being part of the team.
Spritz St. Pauli
"Feelin' spritzy from head to toe."
When you drink this cocktail, you will be able to confirm this. The cocktail consists of vodka, Aperol, tonic water, lime and sugar. Aperol is the finishing touch to the cocktail: "Spritz St. Pauli". Clearly, the cocktail is one of our guests "Tower Bar Favourites". The Aperol gives it the bright orange colour and the slightly fruity taste. Overall, however, the cocktail is one of the more bitter selections.
Some information about me:
When I'm on holiday, I prefer to drink cocktails without cream, like the Mojito, which is made with rum, mint and cane sugar. Still, when I'm on holiday, I sometimes think of the Tower Bar where I've been working since 2020.
At the moment I'm going to hotel management school and then an evening shift at the weekend is a good change in the unique team.
Ipanema is the name of a district of Rio de Janeiro as well as a famous beach located next to the Copacabana.
What does that mean for you? The non-alcoholic cocktail (also called a mocktail) is perfect for a hot summer evening. It's very refreshing because of the lime and ginger ale. I always think, when someone orders an Ipanema, "Summer, Sun, Ipanema".
Here is some information about me:
I have been working as a bartender in the Tower Bar at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg for 1 1/2 years. Sport motivates and distracts me before my shift in the evening. I have been working in the restaurant business for 5 years, even though I always wanted to be a policeman when I was a child.
My favourite drink is water, because I don't drink alcohol.
"A wake-up drink with style - let the party begin".
The Espresso Martini is a perfect start to an evening with friends or family. It consists of vodka, coffee liqueur, sugar and espresso.
Nice to know:
The higher the quality of the ingredients, the better the taste of the cocktail. Don't forget the 3 coffee beans that are placed on the foam as a triangle or under each other. These stand for health, luck and prosperity.
Here is some information about me:
I like to drink the cocktail "Sex on the beach". Since 2022 I have been working in the Tower Bar as a service employee with a lot of fun. I started my apprenticeship in 2019 and have been working in the restaurant business ever since.
The team in 3 words: understanding, strong and very crazy .
Tower Bar Sundowner
The Cocktail is my own creation and therefore my favourite cocktail on our menu. It consists of vodka, apricot brandy, strawberry syrup, passion fruit and lemon. The cocktail is fruity and has a pleasant sweetness.
The different components create a colour gradient reminiscent of a sunset. Definitely a "must have" for sunset"!
I have been working in the restaurant business since 1981 and as a bartender at Tower Bar since 2000. What I love about my job is that creativity is in demand. The team as well as the job is something special and you also have to cope with the working hours.
When I'm on holiday, I like to drink the French 75, which consists of gin, sugar, lemon and champagne.
Fun fact about me: I look more serious than I am.
