On discovery course:

Hamburg, 26.04.2024

On the 26th April 2024, it was once again time for numerous boys and girls to get out of the boring school routine. Like many other companies, our Hotel Hafen Hamburg opened its doors to the young participants, who were able to get a first-hand look at the different areas of work at the hotel.

From the Tower Bar at the top of the tower to the Elbkuppel and the kitchen of our Restaurant Port, the students were able to discover the hotel and were even given a little history lesson here and there about the past of our hotel and the Port of Hamburg itself.

The highlight of the day was preparing lunch together: under the guidance of our kitchen staff, our young guests had the opportunity to make pasta themselves; from kneading the dough to rolling it out and cooking it, the individual steps were taught in a fun way. But what about drinks for lunch?

Of course, delicious refreshments were also provided; the group made two different iced teas: Peach-lemon and raspberry-apple. These were then enjoyed together with the homemade pasta. Fresh fruit was first boiled down with tea bags – and a generous amount of sugar – and then cooled down with lots of ice after steeping. Delicious!
