A new chapter begins

Hamburg, 16th July 2026

At Hotel Hafen Hamburg, we have always built a bridge between tradition and the future. This spirit was felt once again at this year’s farewell ceremony for our apprentices – a moment filled with pride, gratitude and genuine Hanseatic warmth.

This year, we are bidding farewell to six apprentices from Hotel Hafen Hamburg and our sister hotel, the Empire Riverside Hotel, who have been part of our crew over the past years with great dedication and team spirit: Ann Marie Borgmann, Thi Nhu Quynh Nguyen, An Ngoc Nguyen, Thi Huong Tra Ho, Hong Anh Le and Mariell Matlik.

Together, we raised a toast to their achievements. As memories of their first shifts and heartfelt words from their trainers were shared, one thing became clear: each of them has left their mark on the house – with professionalism, humour and true harbour spirit.

We are especially delighted that two of our graduates will continue their journey with us and remain part of the crew. Like ships setting sail after their time in the shipyard, our graduates are now charting their own course. We wish them a steady breeze, clear skies and many new opportunities on their journey.

And of course, one thing remains true: the harbour is always a place to return to. We look forward to welcoming them back at any time – perhaps for a visit to Restaurant Port or simply to reconnect with the crew.
