After 11 weeks of intensive renovation, the Elbkuppel presents itself in new splendour – as an event location that combines modernity and tradition in an impressive way. Originally built in honour of Willi Bartels' 85th birthday, the dome is now the highlight of the 5th floor of the Hotel Hafen Hamburg and offers an ambience that delights guests and organisers alike.
Read moreIn just 11 weeks, 145 dedicated employees put their heart and soul into realising this project. The result: 60,000 hours of work, 400 square metres of new carpet and 20,000 metres of cable, turning the Elbkuppel into a state-of-the-art event space.
Covering 290 square metres, the Elbkuppel offers space for a wide range of events – from stylish receptions to creative conferences. Flexible room layouts, elegant group tables and an atmospheric lighting concept create a unique atmosphere. Culinary highlights are provided by the newly installed pizza oven, which gives events an unmistakable character.
The large windows offer a breathtaking view of the Elbe. Whether in daylight or in the evening hours – the view gives every event a special touch and is guaranteed to remain in the guests' memories.
On 18th October 2024, we celebrated the ceremonial reopening of the Elbkuppel. Hotel director Enrico Ungermann welcomed the invited guests with an inspiring speech. A stylish buffet with the finest appetisers and the maritime sounds of the shanty choir ‘De Tampentrekker’ created an unforgettable atmosphere. Particularly popular: the crispy pizzas from our new oven, which rounded off the buffet perfectly.
The following day, 19th October, we opened our doors to the public. Hamburg residents and interested parties had the opportunity to discover the new event space during an open day. The response was overwhelming – a weekend full of success and enthusiasm!
We would like to thank all the guests, employees and helpers who made this project possible. The Elbkuppel is more than just a space – it is a place for special moments. Doing good with a donation wheel
Thinking of others - something that is very important to us as a company! At this year's summer party, we were able to collect donations and support a foundation that aims to give disadvantaged children the chance of a better life. With the help of our employees and a self-organised donation bike, we were able to raise a large sum. Thanks to our owner, the sum was doubled and ultimately successfully handed over to the KINDsein foundation.
